Welcome Parents and Students,
I am looking forward to meeting my Music students this week and getting reaquainted with those I already know. I am excited about the upcoming school year and I hope students are as well!
If you haven’t already done so please consider making the Music donations in the School Web Store, found on the Foothills MS website, that will enable me to take your student on field trips, dress them professionally, purchase sheet music, equipment and instruments as needed. These were the fees and donations that you made or became aware of at Scottie Days and they can be made at the school’s web store. Here is the link to the FMS Home Page. Once there select: “Parents”, choose the drop down menu for the “ASB Store”. Inside the store, choose “Product Category” and finally choose the drop down menu for “Music”.
Music Club Donation $65. This donation makes possible all our adjunct instructors that come in to work with our students throughout the year, purchases our sheet music for all our groups, helps purchase new equipment and instruments as needed and helps with many other music club projects.
Travel Donation: Varies by group. 6th grade groups pay $30, 7th and 8th grade groups pay $95 and this pays for busing to our away trips during the school year. I am working now on lining up these trips and will add them to my calendar when they are ready.
Uniform Donations: 7th and 8th grade students only. Highlander String Orchestra members pay $20 each and Highlander Band members pay $65. These amounts allow me to have the uniforms professionally cleaned and pressed each season and allows me to replace the unforms when they wear out.
Instrument Rental Donation: $80. This donation is only made if a students is renting a school instrument. I will be sending out a form to all students that request a rental instrument. Please wait on making this donation until I am sure I have an instrument ready for your student.
